Does gamescom asia have a COVID-19 vaccination policy?

As per the latest COVID-19 measures pertaining to events announced by the Singapore government on 10 October, gamescom asia is now open to ALL – vaccinated and non.

What is gamescom asia doing to ensure a safe event for all participants?

While mask wearing is no longer mandatory in Singapore except on public transportation, all attendees are encouraged to mask up, practice mindfulness and social responsibility when attending the event.

When and where will gamescom asia be held?

gamescom asia will be held across 5 days, from 20 - 22 October 2022 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre and online on 19 and 23 October.

What is happening at gamescom asia?

There’s loads! gamescom asia 2022 consists of a physical Trade Zone Exhibition and Trade Conference for business visitors and an online entertainment programme for all the fun and games for the public. For information on the activities will be released closer to the event. Keep watch!

Will there be a virtual/digital component?

All Trade Zone attendees will get access to the gamescom biz community app.

As for fans, our online shows – PRIMETIME and STUDIO – will air on 19 October, 08:00pm-09:00pm and 23 October, 10:00am-5:00pm respectively. Both shows will be accessible via major streaming platforms. More information on how you can watch PRIMETIME and STUDIO will be announced nearer to date.

I have registered online and received the confirmation email. What’s next?

On the days of the event, bring your QR code ticket to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre to exchange it for your badge.

I have registered as a Trade Visitor but have yet to receive my confirmation. Who should I contact?

First, check your spam or junk folders. Remember to mark emails from gamescom asia as safe so that they get into the right inbox. If more than 5 working days have passed since your registration and you have not received your ticket confirmation, please email ticketing@gamescom.asia.

Can I register onsite?

All registrations for tickets and passes are to be made online . Registration at the venue will be available on event days (20 – 22 October) and subject to ticket availability, so we highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance! Cashless payments are strongly encouraged onsite. For more information on ticket categories, please refer to our registration page.

Visa Invitation Letters

Should you require an invitation letter to facilitate your visa application, please email ticketing@gamescom.asia with a copy of your ticket/confirmation email. Enquiries without an existing ticket will not be entertained.

I have a last-minute schedule conflict. Can I transfer my registration to my colleague?

All registrations are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable.

Networking / gamescom biz community

Will there be networking/business matching at gamescom asia? How can we network with other attendees?

Yes, there will be. All Trade Zone attendees – Conference Delegates, Trade Visitors, Exhibitors, Speakers, Sponsors, Media – will have the opportunity to interact with and network onsite and online, via the gamescom biz community platform.

You will need to be a registered trade delegate before you can access the Community functions. Register for your trade ticket here.

What is the gamescom biz community?

The gamescom biz community is an online platform and app dedicated to the gamescom, devcom and gamescom asia business communities. It allows attendees to connect and interact with each other as well as exhibitors ahead of coming onsite at gamescom asia. Online attendees can also use the Community app to connect with exhibitors and attendees onsite to arrange virtual meetings. Important event information like the Conference Agenda, Exhibitor List, and virtual Exhibition Hall can also be accessed online from anywhere.

Where can I download the gamescom biz community app?

The platform is available as web access or as an app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). You will need to be a registered trade delegate before you can access the Community content. Link: https://www.swapcard.com/app/gamescom

How much will the networking app cost? Do I need to purchase an additional ticket?

Access to the gamescom biz platform is included in your successful gamescom asia registration, therefore, you do not need to purchase an additional ticket or access as long as you have registered as a trade attendee. Register for your trade ticket here.

I will be attending gamescom asia physically. Why should I download the gamescom biz mobile app?

Access gamescom asia at the tip of your fingers! Scroll through the conference agenda, create your own schedule with sessions within your topics of interest, schedule meetings (online and onsite) with other attendees and/or exhibitors, and shortlist exhibitor booths you want to visit.

I have registered. How can I access the gamescom biz community?

Starting from 11th October, all registered attendees will receive an email from community@gamescom.asia, containing a ‘magic link’ that will activate your profile. You will receive this email about two weeks before the event, so do keep a look out. Be sure to check your junk/spam inbox, just in case.

Is there difference in what I can access as a Conference Delegate vs Trade Visitor within the app?

Yes. Conference Delegates will be able to access all Trade Conference content on-demand after the event, whereas Trade Visitors will not.

Which web browser is recommended for using the gamescom biz community?

The gamescom biz community web version works best on Chrome and Firefox.

Within the gamescom biz community, gamescom and devcom are displayed, can I also see the content of this event?

Your registration as a gamescom asia Trade Conference Delegate or Trade Visitor only entitles you access to the gamescom asia event. To view gamescom and devcom’s full event, you will need to be a registered participant of that event.

How do I enable notifications from the gamescom biz community web platform and mobile app?

Make sure you select ‘Allow’ when your browser’s notifications prompt pop-up, and that the mobile app’s permission to push notifications is enabled.

Can I schedule meetings with other attendees online? Will I also be able to schedule meetings onsite?

Yes, and yes! If an attendee has a list of timeslots on his/her profile, this means that he/she is accepting meeting invites. To schedule a meeting, click on a timeslot. To schedule a virtual meeting, simply select ‘Virtual Meeting’ as the location. If you want to meet onsite, select any of the locations listed under ‘Trade Zone’ – if you’re meeting an exhibitor, their booth will be listed, otherwise you can meet at the ‘gamescom biz lounge’ onsite.

I have accepted a meeting invite from another participant and would like to reschedule. Can I change the timing myself?

No, you can’t change the timing yourself. You will need to chat with the other attendee to discuss an alternative time and cancel the existing meeting. Once you have agreed on an alternative time, send a new meeting request.

How can I change my availability for meetings?

  1. Go to ‘My Schedule’
  2. Click on ‘My Meetings’
  3. On the right-hand side, you will see a ‘MANAGE AVAILABILITY’ link. Click on this and tick the suitable timeslots

Travelling to Singapore

Do I need a visa to enter Singapore?

To find out if you require a visa to enter Singapore, please visit the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority website.

For business visitors only, should you require an invitation letter to facilitate your visa application, please email ticketing@gamescom.asia with a copy of your ticket/confirmation email. 

With the current COVID-19 situation, what are the travel measures that need to be observed to enter Singapore?

Travellers may enter Singapore as per normal without testing or quarantine, only if they have taken the minimum WHO-EUL vaccine dosage (approved/recognised vaccines by Singapore) at least two weeks before arrival in Singapore, and can show proof of vaccination before departing for Singapore.

Travellers not (fully) vaccinated with COVID-19 WHO EUL Vaccines (approved/recognised vaccines by Singapore) will be required to take the necessary pre-departure tests and show proof before entering Singapore.

How do I get to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre?

Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre is located at the heart of the Central Business District and is therefore easily accessible by public transport. For more information on how to get to the venue, please refer to this page.

Is there parking available at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre?

Yes, Suntec Singapore has more than 3,000 parking lots providing secured and sheltered facilities with 24-hours access, 365 days a year. Park at West Wing (Green Zone) and use lift lobbies A or B for quick access to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
