In today's dynamic gaming landscape, integrating sustainability and inclusivity programmes is not just a choice; it's a vital step toward enriching the gaming experience. The gamescom asia cares platform is where gamescom asia as well as exhibitors and partners can present social responsibility projects, events, and campaigns. Environmental protection, inclusivity and diversity are highly supported topics in the gaming industry and community and gamescom asia cares was created to give greater visibility for this strong commitment. Find out more about our initiatives below.
We are constantly looking for more initiatives to support. Reach out to us if you think we should include other projects that we may not be aware of.

At gamescom asia, we consistently strive to improve our sustainability practices. We take decisive steps to reduce our environmental impact, from minimising printed materials to promoting recycling in line with Koelnmesse's Tradefairer programme and the Singapore MICE Sustainability Roadmap. Join us on this journey towards responsible resource management and a more sustainable trade show.

It is important for us as gamescom asia to provide a peaceful, positive and safe experience for everyone. All participants are therefore expected to comply with the rules that we have set out in our Safe Space Policy.

What does a respectful workplace look like, and who gets to feel safe there? The Workplace Culture Study by elsewhere Not-For-Profit is a cross-continental research project inviting people from all corners of the global games industry to share their lived experiences - from freelancers and interns to studio leads and executives.
The data elsewhereNFP gathers helps inform training, policy, and long-term accountability efforts. By participating, you contribute to a more inclusive, equitable, and respectful future for everyone working in games.
Always Supporting (the) Games Community is the largest grassroots career support initiative in the video game industry, helping over 4,700 people secure jobs through 14 free website resources, LinkedIn, Discord, and other platforms since its launch in late 2022. Created entirely in Amir Satvat’s spare time and supported by over 10,000 volunteers, the community offers a wide range of career support resources. Driven by a rigorous, data-first approach, ASGC also delivers unmatched insights into the games industry - especially market dynamics and labor trends. Satvat’s work earned The Game Awards’ first-ever Game Changers award in 2024 and has been cited by leading outlets including The Washington Post, Bloomberg, NPR, The Los Angeles Times, Axios, CBC, GamesBeat, Polygon, IGN, and PC Gamer. The community is grounded in radical transparency, empathy, and service - and united by a belief that every game job seeker deserves support, whether new to the field, returning, or changing direction. As Satvat puts it: “We don’t just help people apply. We help them belong."

WINGS believes that some of the most creative and successful games of tomorrow will be made by teams founded or co-founded by women and gender-marginalised developers. To create those opportunities, WINGS provides project funding up to $500k and business support for teams to self-publish their games, and build sustainable studios. With WINGS developer-first approach, developers get a significant revenue share from the first dollar, own their IP rights, publishing rights and have complete creative and business control. WINGS is the only fund where investment decisions are guided by a selection committee of only women. Celebrating outstanding games where women and other gender-marginalised developers hold key positions, the WINGS Award makes its first foray at the Thailand Game Awards this year. The chosen winner will receive a 2000€ prize and a custom trophy designed by the WINGS team. Submit your game at this link.

At gamescom asia, our commitment is simple: games are for everyone, and everyone deserves to have a good time. Below are some of our family friendly initiatives to make your family trip to gamescom asia fun and memorable:
Clear Age Appropriateness
We provide a safe and inclusive space for families to enjoy games, ensuring that all ages can immerse themselves in a world of entertainment. Games rated ADV16 or M18 will be showcased in an enclosed area to ensure that younger audiences cannot interact with content unsuitable for their age.
Child Identification
Your peace of mind is important to us. Our staff is trained to identify and assist lost children and ensure that they are picked up by their parents/guardians safely.
Feedback
We collect feedback from families to continually improve and tailor future gamescom asia events to be more inclusive and family friendly.

At gamecom asia x Thailand Game Show, we believe in the power of gaming to connect and empower communities.
For the past four years, we have been proud to partner with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). We provide a dedicated space for UNHCR at our events, helping to raise awareness about their vital humanitarian work, the protection of refugees, and their commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We are honored to provide this visibility for their essential global mission.
