gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show

The Asia Game Talent Showcase 2026, organized by the Thai Game Association (TGA), is a regional game development competition for high school, vocational, and undergraduate students across Asia.

Expanding from the Thailand Game Talent Showcase into a regional platform for the first time, the program brings together emerging game developers from across Asia to showcase their work, receive guidance from industry professionals, and take their first steps from academic game development toward professional careers in the industry.

How Student Teams Are Selected?

From all submissions, 20 projects will be selected to join the program, receiving game presentation training, industry guidance, and opportunities to exhibit their work.

10 finalist teams will advance to the final competition at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026, where they will present their projects to industry professionals and compete for the Talent of the Year Grand Prize, Rising Star Award, and awards recognizing excellence in Game Design, Technology, Narrative, Visual Art, and Audio.

Beyond the competition, the Asia Game Talent Showcase is designed to connect the next generation of developers with the wider game industry, providing international exposure, professional networks, career development opportunities, and pathways toward incubation and further development.

How to Apply?

Applications are open from 9 April to 25 September 2026, 23:59 ICT. Selected projects will be announced on 2 October 2026.

Applicants must be currently enrolled students and submit a playable game project through a publicly accessible itch.io page.

Open to student teams across Asia.

All business area attendees may attend the showcase presentation session on the 29th October freely.

General Public

General public can visit the showcase at Thai Playvillion from 30th October to 1st November.
