Howie Lau, Assistant Chief Executive, Media & Innovation, Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)

Howie Lau is the Assistant Chief Executive, Media & Innovation Group at IMDA with oversight of developing the technology, telecommunications and media business in Singapore as well as technology capability development. He was previously the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Consumer Business at StarHub and Vice President of Corporate Development at Lenovo, with more than 25 years of experience in corporate development and marketing. He is the Immediate Past President of Singapore Computer Society and sits on the Science Centre Singapore board, Singapore Pools technology advisory board among others. He graduated from National University of Singapore and received the Philip Kotler marketing excellence award and NUS outstanding alumni award.

Guilherme Coelho Fernandes, Game Market Consultant, Newzoo

Guilherme Coelho Fernandes keeps a close eye on the latest trends in the games and esports business, making sure that Newzoo's models accurately reflect them, and works on custom and consulting projects with the company’s clients. After completing an MSc in Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Guilherme kick-started his professional career at PwC in Portugal, where he lived (along with Singapore and Sweden) before moving to the Netherlands. He is passionate about video games and exploring the unknowns in this space.

Marc Johns, Head of Marketing, Riot Games SEA

Marc Johns oversees all marketing and communications efforts in the region, with a focus on building and fostering meaningful long-term relationships with Southeast Asian gamers. Marc has been with Riot Games since 2015 and previously served as the Marketing Lead for Global Esports Events, which include the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational, All-Star Event, Rift Rivals, and the largest esports event in the world: The League Of Legends World Championship, which had over 99.6 Million unique viewers in 2018.
Prior to joining Riot Games, Marc held a variety of marketing roles across organisations including TBWA, Red Bull, Verisign, Activision and Nike. His campaign work has resulted in Cannes Lions, Clios, and Sports Emmy awards. Marc was born in Taipei and is an International Business & Marketing honors graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.

Gwen Guo, Chairperson, Singapore Games Association (SGGA)

Gwen Guo is a Singapore-based sound designer for video games and also the co-founder of Imba Interactive with about 9 years in the industry. Having experience of heading a startup, she developed project management skills with a flair for organisation and execution whilst maintaining welfare of co-workers and staff. Aside from being part of the IGDA Committee (2016 - 2018), she also kickstarted Game Audio Singapore, a local game audio community aimed to provide knowledge and sharing among students and professionals.

Shawn Toh, CEO, BattleBrew Productions

Shawn Toh is the CEO and design lead at BattleBrew Productions. Prior to starting BattleBrew, he was a game designer at Japanese mobile game companies Gumi Asia and Nubee. His work has won multiple awards and been featured in various news outlets including, Pocketgamer, 4gamer and many more.

Desmond Wong, CEO, The Gentlebros

Desmond Wong is the co-founder and CEO of The Gentlebros, developers of the Cat Quest series. He is an artist and game designer by profession, and has also worked on AAA titles like Dead or Alive and Dynasty.

Simon Davis, CEO, Mighty Bear Games

Simon Davis is an industry veteran with 20 years experience working in games at King, Ubisoft, Bigpoint, AKQA, Empire Interactive, Laughing Jackal, among many others. He is a one-time Develop Magazine “30 under 30” recipient (though sadly he’s now far too old to qualify) and currently CEO at Mighty Bear Games. Simon is also the co-chair of SG Tech's Gaming committee, the official trade association for tech and gaming in Singapore.

Julian Corbett, President APAC, Voodoo

Julian Corbett is President APAC of Voodoo, one of world’s largest mobile games publisher. He remains Chairman of Ksubaka, an award-winning retail tech company that he co-founded with his brother, Giles Corbett. Julian 20+ years in entertainment and gaming has enabled him to be an actor since the early days of computer graphics, mobile gaming, the inception of 3D RealD - that went to own the cinema stereoscopic market (and went IPO on NYSE in 2010) - and the APAC launch of the world-record setting R* iconic Grand Theft Auto IV & V. He has lived and worked in Europe, the US and Asia and is currently a resident of Singapore.

David Ng, CEO & Founder, goGame

With over 30 years of experience in building businesses, David Ng founded goGame with the financial backing of SEGA. He started Gumi's Asia arm and was the General Manager Asia online at Electronic Arts (EA). Well regarded as a leader in the gaming industry, David mentors game developers at Impixel Studios and is also a member of the newly formed Design & Media Advisory Committee (DMAC) at Nanyang Polytechnic.

Damien Leyris, Senior Associate Producer, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft Singapore

Damien Leyris started his career as a Financial Planning Analyst at Ubisoft Film & Television. After a couple years, he took a leap of faith and shifted to the production team on the Rabbids Invasion TV series, before transitioning to production in video game development. Since joining Ubisoft, he has worked on games such as Assassin’s Creed Origins, Skull & Bones and now as the Senior Associate Producer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
